Dr. Jhenkhar Mallikarjun

Jhenkhar Mallikarjun's research focuses on forest ecology, soil biogeochemistry and ecosystem recovery, with particular interest in how natural disturbances and land-use interactions influence soil processes, nutrient cycling, vegetation dynamics and biodiversity. His work combines field-based ecological research with laboratory analyses to study post-fire ecosystem recovery, soil physical and chemical changes, microbial processes and forest vegetation responses across different ecosystems. He has conducted research in humid temperate and Mediterranean forests in Chile.
