Participation, involvement and co-determination in sport – stakeholder interests in different contexts (PATHS)
Participation conference at the Sports Institute of Georg August University Göttingen from 16 to 17 September 2026
The research area of Sports and Health Sociology will host the conference "Participation, Involvement, and Co-determination in Sport – Stakeholder Interests in Different Contexts (PATHS)" on September 16–17, 2026. Within an interdisciplinary framework, researchers and practitioners from sports development will explore the forms and practices of participation in decision-making processes established across various areas of sport, their respective advantages and disadvantages, and whether a distinct sports-specific culture of participation and co-determination exists.
