Call for Exhibition Submissions

Join us at ASU/FIDM Phoenix for an extraordinary showcase during the Arizona segment of the Responsible Fashion Series event Innovation, Bio-design and Technology from November 4th to 7th 2025 that explores the future of fashion and textiles at the intersections of biodesign, sustainability, and old and new technologies. In Phoenix an exhibition will highlight pioneering work that bridges biodesign, sustainability, and the integration of traditional and modern technologies. This is your chance to contribute to a dynamic conversation about the future of fashion and textiles.

We are seeking innovative submissions that push boundaries and explore new possibilities in wearable design, interdisciplinary collaborations, and creative practices. Contributions may include:

Conceptual, functional, or artistic wearable designs
E-textiles, smart materials, and interface prototypes
Collections of research samples or process explorations
Textile-based artworks or other experimental projects aligned with the event’s themes

Requirements for Submissions:

Submitted works must be original and not previously exhibited in their current form. Extensions of existing research or projects are welcome, provided they offer significant new insights.
Proposals should include a detailed installation plan, including visuals (e.g., sketches, diagrams, or photos) that illustrate scale, layout, and presentation needs. Any AV or technical requirements must also be specified.
At least one contributor associated with the work must attend the event in person to present their project.

How to Submit
Please submit your proposal to mail@responsible-fashion-series.com and provide the following materials:

Indicate which event theme your work aligns with.

A 300-word description of your work, explaining its significance and relevance (submitted as a .pdf file).

Up to five images showcasing your work (accepted formats: .png, .jpeg, .tiff, .pdf). Videos may be submitted as .mp4 files or through links to platforms like YouTube or Vimeo.

A 100-word biography of the contributor(s) (submitted as a .pdf file).

A visual plan for exhibiting your project, including technical or spatial requirements (accepted formats: .png, .jpeg, .tiff, .pdf).
